Aldeias do Xisto tour
​Awesome cycling holiday discovering Aldeias do Xisto by mountain bike.

The tour takes you to the heart of Aldeias do Xisto (schist stone villages).
Beautiful and hidden gems in Central Portugal. We will be visiting several schist villages during our tour.
​
Tour consists of 3 days of riding. The tour is guided and accommodation is in high quality rural hotel for 4 nights and with great breakfast included, the hotel has pool, spaa area and restaurant to further make us feel relaxed.
Aldeias do Xisto tour is suitable for medium fitness level.
​
Possibility to opt for single room occupancy as well to take your plus one who is not biking. Plus one will as well have personal accident insurance for optional hikes around the area.​​​
Transfer from Luso to the heart of the mountains is included in the price.
​
We can arrange bike hire and also transfer from airport or other cities if needed.
​
Day plan:
Day 1 Transfer from Luso to hotel in Aldeia das Dez, setting up bikes, optional walk around the beautiful village.
​
Day 2 Guided day tour that takes us to amazing places, such as Avô, Vila Cova de Alva, Piódão, Foz d´Egua. Trails and mountain roads with incredible views. Plenty of natural river pools to refresh ourselves during our ride. Lunch/snack in Piódão to have a nice stop and get to know more of this beautiful village.

Day 3 Guided day tour with slightly less high meters to climb. We visit well-know town of Vide where we will have our lunch/snack and optional river pool on our way back to hotel.
​
Day 4 Guided day tour to north visiting Oliveira de Hospital where we will have our lunch/snack stop and we pedal through plenty of smaller villages, views to the great Serra da Estrela natural park.
​
Day 5 Optional morning hike and goodbye from us in Aldeia das Dez and transfer back to Luso.
